Is August already coming to an end!? While I'm ready for a break from the humidity, I'm soaking up every opportunity to be outside this summer and head out to parks for photo shoots. I came across this little bridge at Espenscheid Memorial Forest Preserve that was the perfect setting for a 1 year cake smash session I did last month. So, when baby Z's mom contacted me for a 1 year session and inquired about a bridge, I knew just the right spot to take them for his birthday photos.
Z man looked way too cute with his little tie and smash cake. He was cautious at first with getting his hands messy, but by the end he was picking up his cake and walking around with it. Such a happy 1 year old! And then his mom has THE BEST idea ever. She thought he would like playing in the creek below the bridge. Baby Z and I went down in the water with his three older sisters. It was so refreshing to get wet and finish our session with some extra fun as he splashed around and threw rocks. I usually only get water shots with my own children, but I was so excited that his mom was all about letting him explore and get wet for some more pictures. It was a blast!
